Generate a unique card number with a starting monetary balance.

Real-time balance check

Public API endpoint that takes a card number and returns the remaining balance and expiry.

Percentage or fixed-amount discount codes you'll be able to hand to clients.

Redemption tracking from the dashboard

Mark a card or voucher used from the dashboard. Decrements balance and logs the event.

When this launches, your team will be able to mark gift cards and vouchers as redeemed directly from the dashboard, with balances updating instantly and every redemption logged. Automatic redemption at checkout is on the roadmap too.

Gift cards & vouchers FAQ

Can my salon issue gift cards through Idle?

Gift cards are coming soon. When this launches, you'll issue gift cards by code or by a digital share link. Each card will carry a balance Idle tracks automatically, and clients will redeem the balance at booking or checkout.

How will voucher codes differ from gift cards in Idle?

When this launches, voucher codes will apply a discount or fixed-value off at checkout (e.g. a fixed amount off, percentage off, or a free add-on), while gift cards will carry a stored balance the client paid for. Both will be managed in Idle.

Will I see outstanding gift card liabilities in my reports?

Yes. When this launches, Idle will report outstanding gift card balances as a liability so your accountant knows your prepaid customer obligation at month end.

Will I be able to track which gift cards have been redeemed?

Yes. When this launches, every gift card will have a full audit trail showing date issued, paid amount, redemption history, and remaining balance per recipient.
